Abstract
Within the documentary files of Bouvard and Pécuchet - an imposing heritage set of 2400 pages written and collected by Flaubert for his last novel - a very singular category of manuscripts holds interest: the "notes of notes", it is that is to say summaries or summary sheets where Flaubert recopies notes he has taken previously, in the various documentary files and on several occasions, an operation which highlights the writer's intention to use these information in a second phase to transform them into drafts.
It is on this category, little analyzed by researchers, that I will focus to describe its characteristics and importance in the creative process of Flaubert's work.
