Pour une étude de la terminologie médicale de Proust : rétro-numérisation et analyse de la Correspondance avec sa mère

Abstract

This paper aims to highlight the potential of a terminological analysis approach to literary texts. We present a work of retro-digitization and terminological study of a corpus of letters exchanged between Proust and his mother. The identified medical terminology constitutes the object of investigation to illustrate how specialized lexical units emigrate from intimate writings to join the experimental laboratory of the novel. The illustrated case study will focus on the term “trional” and its evolution from the Correspondance to the Recherche.
